Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you have spent years carrying experiences that still affect how you think, feel, or respond to life. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and understood while we work together to build a life that feels healthier, freer, and more fulfilling. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate with more than 20 years of experience supporting adolescents, families, and individuals. My career began in the education system, where I worked with students ages 5 to 18 and spent many years working closely with students and families, including those navigating neurodivergence. I later served as a school counselor with the Indiana Department of Education for over five years before transitioning to full-time clinical mental health care, working with clients ages 17 to 65.
I use an integrative therapeutic approach that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These approaches allow us to explore how past experiences may have shaped current patterns while also building practical tools to create healthier emotional and behavioral responses.
I believe therapy is a collaborative journey. Together, we work to identify patterns that may be holding you back and begin building new emotional and neurological pathways that support the life you want to live. Therapy is not only about understanding the past—it is about learning how to move forward in a way that feels empowered and intentional. My passion for helping others also comes from my own personal journey. I have worked through childhood trauma and domestic violence in my own life, and that experience has given me a deep respect for the courage it takes to begin healing. Because of this, I approach every client with empathy, compassion, and a strong belief in their ability to grow and reclaim their lives. I am passionate about helping people translate insight into real-life change. Together, we focus on practical strategies, emotional regulation, daily routines, and supportive environments that reduce overwhelm and help clients function more confidently in their everyday lives.
For those who desire it, I also offer faith-informed counseling, integrating spiritual perspectives as a source of strength, hope, and meaning.
